The Humble Beginnings of FOLJ Church
Most of us know FOLJ as one of those megachurches in the capital of India(now with extensions in other cities too) with thousands of believers, Christians and non-Christians alike, attending its worship & prayer services either in-person or online. FOLJ livestreams its services several times a week mostly from its Delhi Auditorium. For someone who’s new to FOLJ, what might catch their attention is the flashy lights, big LED displays, and their highly tech-enabled and well-equipped worship team. All Glory to God in Jesus’ name, because that just testifies to the fact that there’s no lack of resources in God’s Kingdom. However, before someone gives room for prejudice in their heart, we must know that FOLJ has its own humble beginnings.
In the above picture, we can see Apostle Ankit Sajwan fixing a blue carpet at their first rented place for fellowship. As shared in their 10th Anniversary service, they started as a group of believers, coming from non-Christian backgrounds, who tasted God’s goodness and loved to be in His presence. And as the Word says,
